My World Info

Rejuvenated on a Thursday?

Ok a few notes before we start for real

1.) the Mets are on right now, and it made my day
2.) I really wish today was Friday, but the Mets are helping
3.) Ryan Howard is so bad right now.  (and up at bat while I type this)
4.) Mets won last night, and it felt good.

Ok now, just a bunch of links, but fun ones today.

Someone decided it was appropriate to post Van Halen lyrics on a cheese package.  I am ok with this.  The more combinations of Van Halen and food (two of my favorite things), the better.  Add in some wrestling and mets, and I am in heaven.

It's not delivery, it's Digiorno (and hilarious)

This thing looks fantastic.  What's with all the food links today?

I guess one more: is chocolate covered bacon going too far?

Also, today was another free Southern Style Chicken Sandwich day.  Delicious way to start my day (ok not start because I had it at 10 and got here at 7:30, but you get the idea).

I want to watch the Hammer with Adam Carolla.  I found a bootleg online and only got to watch liek the first 10 minutes, but it was pretty funny.  I love Carolla.

I feel like, if you take the Metro, you have to be wildly opposed to moving quickly.  I find myself literally pushing people out of the way to catch my trains.  It's bad.  The way my morning commute works, I have to catch one train, then transfer.  At the transfer, I have to bolt out the doors, up the stairs, and catch the train on the next level before the doors close.  I can usually make it, but often I also get stuck behind the fat woman who would rather waddle up the stairs and just generally be in the way than let me get to work on time.  Very frustrating.  Also frustrating is seeing people who take up 2 entire seats they are so fat.  And no, I am not exaggerating.  If your keester is so big it cant fit in 1 seat, youre not allowed anywhere near rush hour.  Speaking of which, they have peak and off-peak travel on the Metro.  I think it should be mandatory-  if you aren't going to work, you can't travel before 9am.  People who aren't in a rush just move too slow for rush hour.  I have to sprint around these elderly deadbeats while they fumble with their cane in the door of the train?  No - get out of my way.

One of my absolut favorite SOuth Park episodes was on last night-  the Easter episode.  Wildly offensive to the super-religious, but whatever, wildly hilarious to everyone else.  I stand by my position that if you don't like South Park, it just means that you haven't watched it enough.

Today is the 25th anniversary of the Pine Tar Incident.  Of which video, for wahtever reason, does not exist on YOuTube.  Frustrating considering this is an all-time best blow-up in sports history.

David Cook, of American Idol fame, has a new song out.  I heard it this morning.  Solid - it's the one that won the song-writing competition.  Sounds good to me.

Maryland Transit says that 80-90% of MARC trains are on time.  I reality, it's around 65%.  Genius.

Credit: SC.  A court stepped in and forced a girl to change her name.  What?  Talula Does the Hula from Hawaii isn't a good first name?

Further Evidence that God Hates Hippies.  And won't allow them to reproduce.

And I love Saved by the Bell (a future discussion topic?) but I am not sure how much I am going to enjoy this.  Well, actually, I think I will definitely buy it.   Or at least find a way to borrow it from someone else.

And finally, how about that South Park episode?

(cant figure out how to embed, but watch it anyway)
